...Was truly crushed to learn of the death of Madge. She was a great broad. Obit here.
...My sympathies to chronic back sufferers. Temporary problem the past few days has been most annoying to say the least. Dealing with such things on a daily basis must be a challenge indeed.
...The intellectually honest long ago gave up any delusions about the presence of integrity in college athletics. In order to enjoy big time college football and basketball one simply looked the other way, some taking pride in not being as "bad" as others. The question now is how far one can twist one's neck to ignore the likes of Colorado. No surprise that schools have long used boozed and comfort girls to enhance a recruit's visits, but is there some line to be crossed out there somewhere? Reckon if alums and the parents of prospective alums don't seem to care and keep sending donations and tuition money the ranks of the NCAA will be filled with many whose more appropriate institution would feature barbed wire as opposed to ivory covered walls.
...More than enough has been written and said about the A Rod deal, excepting perhaps this has the potential to be one of, if not the best, right side of an infield in baseball history. Banks and Santo? Ozzie and Schmidt? Got another?
...Bringing back the loading docks is still in play. Larry seems amicable to the idea. Bill makes three, with Suttle being limited to the role of offensive slut due to increased mobility issues. Probably means we need two more. Any takers in the land of Nerf (we only use non-recalled balls).
...Babies are currently being conceived who will be born before the November election. At least there's the debacle that will be the Olympic games in Athens to amuse us in the interim. Libertarian Party convention is in Atlanta this year. Information is available at their web site www.lp.org
...Speaking of I, we've got to get a handle on
the proper person in which write these little rants. Third persons is most
annoying but doesn't require me to get a handle on the whole me/I thing
again. A decision is, of course, necessitated by the strict adherence to
proper syntax always followed at

...Though more futile than most rants found here, as long as the General Assembly is in session, would you folk be so kind as to allow us great unwashed the opportunity of pari-mutuel wagering. There's still plenty of room around Lakewood. While you're at it, you could also save Underground with casino gambling and consider a entertainment swath, and resultant commerce, beginning northwest with the WCC/Dome/Philips to the newly constructed Georgia Downs on the southeast end with a casino and Turner Field in between. Nah, let's build an aquarium instead and just wait for the Sewer Fairy to leave $3 billion under our pillow. Not that leasing the airport wouldn't take care of that, but that's another story.
...Ed McMahon has spoken. The tote board
has been tallied and
is a winner for the season.
...Mochas gracias earth. Suttle World took over 12,000 hits in January. Keep those cards and letters coming.

history of big stretches from the

Have committed to finish the project before March 1.

...Wifflers where are you? email here you Mit)hs. Speaking of which we found Mit)h in Marietta. Suttle's take is that the Mit)h concept is bigger than any one man, especially Mitch, and that consequently we should leave the poor chap in peace.
...Belated props to the North Ave boys for knocking off Duke in Durham this week. Ensures a trip to the dance. Consider, if you will, that there is a distinct possibility that the four #1 seeds will all be private schools (Duke, Stanford, St. Joe's, Gonzaga). Not sure what that means, but it segues well with...
